Amherst Mews News
I just received a letter from Ira Weisburg, President of Amherst Mews Homeowners Association Dated September 28, 2009. The gist of the letter is as follows:
” As you may know, Amherst Mews has been involved in litigation with the developer for the past 5 years. During this time, several special assessments of homeowners were used to fund the legal fees. I am happy to report that the litigation was successfully settled earlier this year. All proceeds form the settlement have been received.
The Board of the Amherst Mews Homeowners Association is currently working with nationally recognized engineering consultants to assist in any repair issues that are deemed necessary. Several litigation-related projects have already been completed, with the balance expected to begin in the spring.
The objective of the Association are to:
Bring all homes up to the same level of quality
Assure that the elements of the litigation are repaired
Enhance real estate values
Establish a maintenance program to sustain the improvements
Do what needs to be done in a responsible economic fashion
I hope this clears up any confusion you may have regarding Amherst Mews. If there are additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Ira at iraweis@optonline.net.
